Privacy and cookies
Short and clear: what we keep track of when you visit this site, why, and for how long.
Who we are
This site belongs to Warren in Motion, soon the Warren in Motion Foundation (in formation). Questions about your data? Email warreninmotion@outlook.com.
Visitor statistics (Google Analytics)
Only if you click yes in the "Fancy a cookie?" notice do we use Google Analytics. It shows us how many people visit the site, for how long, which pages they view and which buttons they click. That helps us make the site better. If you say no, we don't load Google Analytics and set no cookies.
- We only see totals, no names or email addresses. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses.
- We also see roughly where visitors come from (country and town) and what they use (phone or computer, browser).
- No ads and no advertising profiles: Google signals and data sharing with Google are switched off.
- The statistics are kept for a maximum of 14 months.
_ga- Recognises a returning visitor, without knowing who you are. Kept for 2 years.
_ga_PW3QDXVHXW- Keeps track of your visit (which pages, how long). Kept for 2 years.
We remember your choice in your browser (wim-cookies, not a cookie). Changed your mind? Click Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. If you then choose no, we delete the Google Analytics cookies.
Also good to know
- Fonts and map. The fonts come from Google Fonts and the country map uses scripts from cdnjs. Your browser fetches them from there; that service sees your IP address, as with any website you visit.
- Donating. Donations go through the campaign page of the Dutch Food Banks (kominactievoordevoedselbank.nl). Their own privacy statement applies there.
- Email. If you email us, we only use your details to reply and for your sponsorship or sign-up.
- Social media. The Instagram and TikTok buttons are plain links. Nothing from those services loads until you click.
Your rights
You can always ask which data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. Email us and we'll sort it out. Not satisfied? You can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
